Weeping Mulberry
Weeping Mulberries are are a fast growing deciduous tree with large bright green foliage cascading to the ground. In winter the arching and twisting bare branches are an interesting feature. In early summer the tree bears good crops of small red mulberries which will attract birds. The fruit can also be used to make jellies or jams.
Plant Care
Mulberries are happy planted in any sunny position with good free draining soil. Plenty of water over the summer months while the tree establishes itself will help keep the foliage healthy and lush. Prune during late winter to outside facing buds to encourage growth to start near the crown in spring.
Application
Use as a feature or specimen in shrub beds. Weeping mulberries look great against a dark background or associated with plants that have red or bronze foliage
