Exotic Trees > Michelia doltsopa Silver Cloud
This is a wonderful tree that lifts a garden out of the winter gloom with a showy display of large white scented flowers that burst from masses of brown furry buds in late July through into August. Silver Cloud matures into a handsome pyramidal tree up 6 or 8 m tall with dark green foliage.
Michelia doltsopa Silver Cloud enjoys a good free draining slightly acid soli with plenty of organic material. The roots need to be kept cool and moist over hot summer months. Although classed as an evergreen Silver Cloud does shed a lot of foliage as it flowers.
Silver cloud is a great specimen or feature tree for gardens, parks or sheltered avenues and streets. It is equally at home amongst perennial borders, tropical plantings or as feature amongst our own native trees.
