Camellia sasanqua Mine No Yuki has been a favourite camellia since the late 19th century and its popularity has never wained. This sprawling shrub with arching and cascading branches and deep green glossy foliage smothers itself with loose semi double pure white flowers during the autumn months.
The growth habit of Mine no Yuki makes it one of the most versatile varieties available. It can be used as a low hedge, espalier subject , clipped column ,or even pegged out on shady banks as a ground cover.
Mine No Yuki was one of the first sasanqua Camellias to be introduced to American gardeners around 1895. A literal translation of its japanese name is "snow on the mountains". and It is often sold in nurseries as Camellia Moonlight.
