The clematis collection has been bred by international nurseryman Raymond J Evison and his selections are high performing, compact, disease resistant and free flowering over a long period. Raymond has introduced more than 100 species and cultivars of clematis to gardeners world wide from his base in Guernsey. He is a renowned lecturer and author and has won numerous Gold Medals for his exhibits at the Chelsea Flower Show. He is the recipient of the Royal Horticultural Society's Victoria Medal of Honour and in 2000 the Queen made him an OBE for his services to Horticulture.
